What is the difference between the strategic victory and the tactical victory in spiritual war?
The strategic victory is the decisive turning of the whole war, and Jesus Christ won it on the cross. There He paid the penalty for our sins, broke the back of the devil, and threw open the gates of his prisoner-of-war camp, so that the tide of the war is turned once and for all. The tactical victory is the daily, individual battle that still remains, for the war is not over and we are still on the battlefield. Whether we win the tactical victory depends on whether we apply to our own lives the things Christ gained for us in His strategic victory.
