What is God’s purpose in allowing the spiritual war to be played out on Earth?
God allows the rebellion to run its full course to prove, before all creation, that His justice and grace are perfect. As men and angels watch, the conflict is fought out in human souls, and God will let it continue just long enough to demonstrate absolutely that there is no life, no joy, and no peace apart from complete dependence upon Him. It is also His purpose that His manifold wisdom be made known to the angelic principalities and powers through the church, so that the very beings who watched Lucifer fall now learn the grace of God by watching it work in us.
