What is the nature of the angelic conflict and man's role in it?
The angelic conflict is a spiritual war fought between believers and Satan, where the enemy seeks to disrupt inner peace and move believers to malign God's character. This invisible war began with Lucifer's rebellion and now plays out in the souls of men on Earth. In every circumstance, we are faced with two choices: to take the side of God's plan through faith in Christ or against it by relying on ourselves. As believers, we become a battleground where the conflict is decided, and we display God's wisdom as His grace works in us. We must not attempt to fight this battle in human strength but instead choose to believe God and take thoughts captive to obedience to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). The Holy Spirit wants unbelievers to know that rejecting Jesus Christ is a sin and that Jesus' victory on the cross is our only basis for righteousness. By choosing faith, we participate in the angelic conflict and glorify God.
