Talk with your friend about the real enemy behind the trouble in the world, opening the conversation rather than closing it: ask what he makes of the pride that turned the highest angel into an adversary of God, and how the victory that overcomes the world is our faith. Let Isaiah 14:12-15 show where Satan came from, 1 John 5:4-5 show how faith in the Son of God overcomes him, and Matthew 11:28-30 show the rest of soul Christ offers in the middle of the war.
