What does the Bible teach about faith-rest?
Faith-rest is a life of maximum production and blessing, where we learn to love the battle by resting on God's power. It is not heaven, but spiritual maturity, available to those who believe in God's promises. According to Hebrews 11:2 and 11:6, faith alone pleases God, and without faith, it is impossible to please Him. The faith-rest technique involves claiming biblical promises daily until our faith grows strong. We should not fear living out our lives in a wilderness experience of test and failure, but rather fear failing to enter the faith-rest life by not taking God at His Word (Hebrews 4:1). Daniel illustrates faith-rest as he rested in a pit while King Darius paced in his palace. The Promised Land is a picture of spiritual maturity and entrance into the full enjoyment of divine blessing, where every battle is still won by faith-rest. There are eight sabbaths mentioned in the Bible, all designed to teach us to cease from our own works and rest in what God has already provided.
