What does Paul mean in Ephesians 4:13 by “the unity of the faith”?
The "faith" here is not subjective but objective—it refers to that which we believe, the body of Bible doctrine. So "the unity of the faith" means that because the Word of God is taught in its entirety, we come to a systematic development of our understanding of it. We will never come to the experiential knowledge of the Son of God unless we first accept the full counsel of God and reach this systematic unity in our understanding of doctrine.
