What does Satan do to Job in his second assault?
In the second assault Satan smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. The pain was intense and unrelenting, the itching unbearable, so that Job took a potsherd to scrape himself as he sat among the ashes; later we learn the boils bred worms and scabs, and he suffered severe fever and aching in his bones. And Satan struck through Job's wife as well, whom he had wanted left alive: she turned cynical and bitter, took the enemy's side, and told her husband to curse God and die.
