What three doctrinal principles are illustrated in Job’s response to his wife?
When Job answers his wife, who is speaking like a reversionistic woman (one who has faded and fallen away from the faith), he asks, "Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" In that question he illustrates three important doctrinal principles. First, the believer who only wants blessing is weak and immature. Second, the believer who gripes and complains in adversity does not understand either God or His plan. And third, the believer who falls apart under pressure does not understand the angelic conflict or the power of God.
