What new accusation does Satan bring against Job?

Satan's new charge is that Job is selfish and self-absorbed. One of the most compassionate and gracious men in history is accused by the enemy of being self-centered: Job has not cursed God, Satan says, only because his own skin has not yet been touched. Strip away his flocks, his wealth, his servants, even his children, and it does not reach him, but touch his body and make him hurt, and then he will curse You. It is the accusation of "Skin for skin," that Job serves God only to spare himself.
