What does the Bible teach about the Trinity?

The Bible teaches that there is one God in three coequal, coeternal Persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the only visibly revealed member of the Trinity. Every Old Testament appearance of God was the preincarnate Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, appearing on Earth in bodily form. The Holy Spirit is a personal and individual member of the Trinity who is equal to the Father and the Son and shares the same divine essence. He is known by many names, including the Spirit of truth, the eternal Spirit, the Spirit of life, and the Spirit of grace. The three members of the Trinity are distinct in their works: the Father plans, the Son redeems, and the Holy Spirit regenerates. They share the same divine essence and are equal in power and glory. Jesus Christ submitted Himself to the will of the Father, taught the teachings of the Father, and sought the glory of the Father. The Trinity is a mystery that is beyond human comprehension, but it is essential for understanding God's character and nature.
