What is the Royal Code, and what are its five laws?

The Royal Code is a divine standard of conduct for members of the Royal Family of God. We can only attain this standard by choosing to put grace to work every day of our lives. The code consists of five laws: (1) The Law of Life, which sets believers free from death, sin, and Satan, and calls us to walk according to the Spirit as those alive to God (Romans 8:1-2). (2) The Law of Liberty, which gives us the right and responsibility to choose how we live in matters not forbidden by the Word, without judging or forcing other believers (Galatians 5:1). (3) The Law of Love, higher than liberty, which calls us to willingly refrain from allowable things that would cause a weaker brother to stumble, because we are our brother's keeper (Romans 15:1). (4) The Law of Self-denial, which restricts ourselves for the sake of unbelievers, remembering we are ambassadors whose lives may declare the Gospel more forcefully than our words (1 Corinthians 10:23-24, 33). (5) The Law of Supreme Sacrifice, a law only heroes live by, which best illustrates the passion of Christ's love as He counted others more important than Himself and humbled Himself to death on a cross (2 Corinthians 8:9). We are called to live under these laws, not just for personal gain, but for the sake of manifesting Christ to our world.
