What is the Royal Code?
The Royal Code is a code of conduct that sets a divine standard for members of the Royal Family of God. Believers will never be able to attain this standard unless they choose to put grace to work every day of their lives.
This code consists of five laws. The Law of Life sets the believer free from the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:1–2). The Law of Liberty gives believers the right and responsibility to choose how to live, provided the Bible does not forbid the action (Gal. 5:1). The Law of Love is higher than liberty, recognizing that believers should bear the weaknesses of those without strength and refrain from allowable things that cause others to stumble (Rom. 15:1).
Additionally, the Law of Self-denial involves restricting oneself for the sake of unbelievers to be an effective witness (1 Cor. 10:23–24, 33). Finally, the Law of Supreme Sacrifice is lived by heroes who become selfless, considering the plan of God and others as more important than themselves, following the example of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 8:9; Phil. 2:3–8).
