What is the purpose of the transformation process?

The purpose of the transformation process is to prove the will of God. "Prove" is dokimazo, an athletic word meaning to prove through testing, and God has tests—trials, pressures, adversity, and even prosperity—planned for every life. Every time we face a test we have the opportunity to present our body a living sacrifice and to prove, by facing the pressure and overcoming, what the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God is. "Perfect" here is teleios, the word used for maturity—to be complete, to be without lack—so the transformed life demonstrates that the will of God actually works in life.
