What does the Bible teach about being careful how we walk and redeeming time?
The Bible teaches that believers should be careful how they walk, making the most of their time because the days are evil. This means living one day at a time, giving ourselves wholly to what we do, as if this were our last day. We should serve as if we only have today and wait as if we have a thousand years. To redeem time, we need to be filled by the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and use our capital, which is the Word of God. Every minute spent in fellowship with God belongs to us forever, but every minute out of fellowship is lost. We should listen to God today and make the most of each day, knowing that we only have a certain number of days to live and that how much time we choose to redeem has a direct bearing on our lives in both time and eternity.
