What are two reasons why we should redeem time?

We are to redeem time for two reasons. First, because the days are evil: the prince of darkness controls this marketplace, and when we fail to purchase a portion of the day we let him win, but when we buy time God's way, living it in the filling of the Holy Spirit, we slow the advance of evil. Second, because the time is short and running out: each of us has only a certain number of days to live, exactly the number we need to fulfill God's plan and achieve spiritual greatness.
