What does it mean to be, and how can we become, “vessels of honor”?

In God's great house every believer is a vessel, and God gives each of us the choice of what kind we will be. Choose to be common, and He will have only common tasks for us; choose spiritual quality, and He has wonderful tasks. We become vessels of honor through cleansing — continual confession of sin — which, kept up day by day, makes us sanctified, useful, and prepared for the Master's use.
