What does the Bible teach about redeeming time?

The Bible teaches that time is a gift from God, and we can redeem it by living in fellowship with Him. The only day we can redeem is today (Isaiah 49:8; Matthew 6:33-34; 2 Corinthians 6:2), and we must listen to God's voice every day (Exodus 17; Psalms 90, 95, 106). Our capital for redeeming time is the Word of God, which comes from Him and will be our only possession in eternity (Psalm 90:12). To buy back time, we must be filled by the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and use every minute to glorify God. Every moment spent in fellowship belongs to us forever, but every moment out of fellowship is lost. The Bible exhorts us to number our days and present a heart of wisdom to God (Psalm 90:12). Redeeming time means using the Word as capital to live in the filling of the Holy Spirit, resulting in rewards and treasures stored in heaven that will be judged at the Bema, the Judgment Seat of Christ.
