Job 1:12 is an illustration of what New Testament promise?
When God tells Satan, "all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him," He gives the enemy permission to sift Job but fixes the limits Himself. This is the very truth Paul later states: God is faithful and will not let us be tested beyond our ability to endure. God still calls the shots, and we are safe in His hands.
