What is the ministry of reconciliation? What is the message of reconciliation?
Reconciliation is the power to effect a change between estranged parties — man in rebellion on one side, the faithful God on the other, with the barrier of our sin between. God reconciled us by not charging our sins to us but imputing them to His Son on the cross. The message He entrusted to us is simple: God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses — He made the sinless One to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. So we beg people, on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
