What limit does God set on our temptations?
God will never allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able (1 Corinthians 10:13). Because He is sovereign and still controls human history, He keeps every temptation within the limit He set in eternity past, so our temptations are limited to things we can handle. As we grow and gain strength the temptations become stronger and more intense, but they will never exceed our level of growth or our ability to discern, for every believer has the inherent power, dunamai, to overcome.
