What are the three sources of temptations and how are we instructed to deal with each?
The three sources of temptation are the world, the flesh, and the devil, and each is met differently. Against the world we are not to conform to it but to conquer its thinking (Romans 12:2, 21). Against the flesh we are to consider ourselves dead to it and flee its enticement (Romans 6:11; James 1:14-15). Against the devil we are to give him no place to work and resist him (Ephesians 4:27; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8-9).
