What is the relationship between Bible study and prayer?

They are the two halves of one line of communication. The Bible is God's communication to us; prayer is our response to Him. From His Word we receive instruction and encouragement; through our prayers He receives our thanks and our requests. Until that line is open both ways, our relationship with Him will never be what it is meant to be — and the more we know His Word, the better we know His character, and the more we find we can pray about.
