What is spiritual maturity, and how does one achieve it?

Spiritual maturity is the point at which we begin to live the normal Christian life. It's a state of maximum production and blessing, where every battle is still won by faith-rest. To reach this level, we must learn to have faith in God's promises, as seen in Hebrews 4:3. The faith-rest technique involves claiming biblical promises daily, allowing our faith to grow stronger through the process of believing Christ's word. This life of rest is not heaven but a present reality that can be entered by trusting in God's provision. As we develop a systematic understanding of Scripture, the Living Word becomes alive and real to us, more real than anything else. We start to live out our faith, maintaining the filling of the Spirit for prolonged periods, and are finally ready to use the resources God makes available to us. A believer who has arrived at maturity knows enough of the Bible to take responsibility for their own life and is now faced with the question: am I going to be faithful in using what God has provided? Spiritual maturity involves a transformed mind, as seen in Romans 12:1-2, and a humble, self-giving attitude, as described in Philippians 2:5-11. It's an invitation to become like Christ rather than achieving a status.
