Describe the three basic ways of learning.
There are three ways anyone learns anything. Empiricism relies on sensory perception - 'only if I can see or touch it will I believe it' - the basis of science, but blind to whatever cannot be measured. Rationalism relies on human reason, and is bounded by the limits of the human mind. Faith relies on the word of someone trustworthy - and in the things of God, on God speaking in His Word. The first two can discover a great deal, but no one finds or knows God through them; God arranged for man to come to Him by faith alone.
