How would you explain prayer and the priesthood of the believer to a friend? What Scriptures would you use?
I would tell a friend that prayer is simply talking with God — and because of the cross, every believer is a priest who may come straight into God's presence, no go-between needed. The Bible is God speaking to us; prayer is us answering back. You can bring Him everything, all day long, like a running conversation with your closest friend. And when you don't know what to say, His Spirit even carries your requests for you.
