What does the Bible teach about the will of God?

The will of God is a multifaceted concept that includes three dimensions: the operational will (the 'what'), the geographical will (the 'where'), and the motivational will (the 'why'). The operational will refers to the specific task or ministry God has for each believer, defined by their spiritual gift. The geographical will is the place where God wants us to be, where He supplies all our needs. The motivational will is the reason behind our actions, which must be guided by faith. To know and fulfill the will of God, we must first understand what His will includes and then obey His declared will, which includes being saved, sanctified, filled with the Spirit, thankful, content, suffering, and serving. Ultimately, discovering the will of God requires transformation through testing and proving our faith in various trials and pressures, demonstrating that the will of God actually works in life.
