Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the unique Person who existed in the beginning, was face-to-face with God, and is God (John 1:1-2). He is the Creator of all things, as nothing came into being apart from Him (John 1:3). He is the Son of God, the Lord of Glory, and the Prince of Peace, provided by God as the solution to every problem in human history.

As the Savior, He was delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God to be put to death on a cross (Acts 2:23). God made His Son to become sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God by faith in Him (2 Cor. 5:21).

In the Church Age, He is the Head over all things to the church, which is His body (Eph. 1:22-23). He is described as the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep (John 10:11), the Vine through whom all life flows (John 15:1-7), and the High Priest who is a priest forever (Psalm 110:4).
