What was the temptation to Eve?
Working through the serpent, Satan tempted Eve to doubt God's goodness and to believe she could become 'like God' by disobeying Him. He first planted the seed that God was withholding something good, then denied the penalty God had promised - 'You surely will not die.' The temptation was to distrust God and seize on her own terms what He had not given.
