How would you explain grace to a friend? What Scriptures would you use to back your claims?

Open the conversation by asking your friend whether they think anyone could ever be good enough to earn God's approval, and let them talk it through with you rather than lecturing them. Then walk together through Romans 5:1-2 and 1 Corinthians 15:10 to show that grace is everything God is free to do for us because of Christ's work, received as a gift and never earned, so that we stand in grace or we do not stand at all.
