How would you explain evil and the ability to discern evil to a friend? What Scriptures would you use to back your claims?
Ask your friend how they tell good from evil when the enemy is a master of disguise who makes evil look beautiful, and let it be a real two-way conversation. Point them to Romans 12:21, Hebrews 5:13-14, and Philippians 1:9-11 to show that evil is anything done independently of God and that discernment is trained only by feeding on His Word, inviting them to test things against Scripture rather than by appearances.
