What is divine good?
Divine good is absolute, intrinsic good, the good that can be produced only by God. In Romans 12:21 the phrase is en to agatho, in the sphere of good, and agathos means absolute good rather than merely relative human good. Divine good is produced through believers by the working of the Spirit of God together with the Word of God. The Spirit works through us only when He is in control and we are filled by means of the Spirit, and He does that work only with the Word, which is why we feed on the Word every day.
