What did Jesus say is the number-one requirement for attaining greatness?
He said, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.” Greatness in God's kingdom is servanthood. The disciples wanted prominence and recognition; Jesus struck at that ambition and held out true greatness instead — the willingness to serve unnoticed. The farther down we are willing to go now, the greater we will be in eternity.
