How can I be saved?
You are saved by believing the Gospel — the good news that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again (1 Cor. 15:1-4). To be saved is to place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, taking your stand on the only solid foundation. You do not save yourself: Scripture puts “you are saved” in the passive voice — salvation is done to you, received as a free gift by grace through faith, never achieved by any work or merit of your own (Rom. 5:2). The moment you believe, you are turned around — dead to sin and alive to God, a new creation — and that salvation is always in the present tense: it will last forever.
