How would you explain to an unbelieving friend who the Holy Spirit is and what is His message to that person? What Scriptures would you use?

The Holy Spirit is God — a Person, not a force — sent to live in everyone who believes. To someone who has not yet believed, His message is simple and threefold: it is a sin to reject Jesus; the only righteousness that counts with God is what Christ won on the cross; and Satan has already been judged, so whoever refuses Christ shares his end. He is the One who makes these things clear so a person can choose.
