Describe the Holy Spirit - what is He like and what does He do?

The Holy Spirit is a Person - like the Father and the Son, personal and individual, sharing the same divine essence. He is 'the Spirit of truth' who permanently indwells and empowers the believer, bears witness that we are God's children, convicts the world, and guides us into all truth through the Word.
